Our community deserves leadership that is open, accountable, and focused on real results. As mayor, I will work alongside council and residents to ensure decisions are made with clarity, integrity, and the long-term success of our town in mind.

Transparency and Accountability

I believe residents should have a clear voice and full visibility into how decisions are made. I will:
 

• Introduce public questioning periods both during and after every council meeting

• Ensure the finance department provides a clear, simplified annual summary of financial statements following council approval

• Implement a new hiring policy requiring council approval for mid- and upper-management positions

• Hold special council sessions that better accommodate farmers and rural community members
   

Strong Financial Management

In a time of rising inflation and economic uncertainty, careful financial leadership is essential. I will:
 

• Work with council to establish and follow a clear plan for debt reduction

• Actively pursue provincial and federal grant opportunities to reduce pressure on local taxpayers

• Maintain high-quality services and infrastructure to attract investment and protect our revenue base

• Review and dispose of non-essential municipal assets, returning proceeds to the town’s treasury

• Promote our town responsibly, supporting growth without compromising our community values

• Ensure council maintains proper financial oversight

• Commit to balanced annual budgets

• Deliver on a firm commitment: NO NEW TAX INCREASES
   

With economic pressures mounting and growth challenges ahead, our town needs steady, practical leadership. I am ready to bring that leadership forward.
